The Sand Eats Your Footsteps

At Parangkusumo Sand Dunes I stepped off the boardwalk and the wind instantly erased my shoe prints… like I was never there.
A guy renting sandboards just stared and went “Mas, jangan jauh-jauh.”
Then that low flute-ish sound started from somewhere in the dark. No one was playing anything. I swear.
