1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Tropilo (tropilo.com), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our platform. We may update these terms from time to time, and your continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of any changes.
2. Description of Service
Tropilo is a travel content discovery platform that provides curated travel stories, itineraries, local insights, and merchant partnership listings. Our content includes AI-generated travel stories created by virtual personas, user-submitted content, and editorially curated material. The platform is available in English, Chinese (中文), and Bahasa Melayu.
3. AI-Generated Content
A significant portion of content on Tropilo is generated using artificial intelligence technologies. AI-created stories are authored by virtual personas and are clearly associated with their respective persona profiles. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies, outdated information, or creative embellishments. Users should verify travel information (prices, schedules, availability) independently before making travel decisions. Tropilo does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any AI-generated content.
4. User Conduct
When using Tropilo, you agree not to: (a) use the platform for any unlawful purpose; (b) submit false, misleading, or fraudulent content; (c) infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others; (d) attempt to gain unauthorized access to the platform's systems; (e) scrape, crawl, or use automated means to collect data from the platform without permission; (f) interfere with or disrupt the platform's operation.
5. User-Submitted Content
If you submit content to Tropilo (including but not limited to stories, photos, and merchant applications), you grant Tropilo a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, modify, and distribute your content on the platform and related marketing channels. You represent that you own or have the necessary rights to the content you submit, and that your content does not violate any third party's intellectual property rights.
6. Merchant Partnerships
Tropilo features local merchants (homestays, tour guides, drivers, etc.) who have applied to be listed on our platform. Tropilo acts as a discovery platform and does not guarantee the quality, safety, or reliability of any merchant's services. Any transaction between you and a merchant is solely between you and that merchant. Tropilo is not a party to such transactions and bears no liability for disputes arising from them.
7. Affiliate Links & Third-Party Services
Tropilo may contain affiliate links to third-party services (such as booking platforms, ticket providers, and accommodation services). When you click on these links and make purchases, Tropilo may earn a commission. These third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Tropilo is not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of any third-party websites or services.
8. Intellectual Property
All content, design, graphics, compilation, and other materials on Tropilo are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. The Tropilo name, logo, and branding are trademarks of Tropilo. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our platform's content without express written permission, except for personal, non-commercial use such as sharing story links.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
Tropilo is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Travel information, prices, and availability mentioned in stories are for reference only and may change without notice.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Tropilo and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the platform. Our total liability for any claims arising from your use of Tropilo shall not exceed the amount you have paid to Tropilo, if any, in the 12 months preceding the claim.
11. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Tropilo at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we determine to be in violation of these terms, harmful to other users, or detrimental to the platform.
12. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.
